Debrecen utóbbi években bekövetkezett gyors ipari fejlődése ráirányította a figyelmet a folyamatot kísérő demográfiai, környezetvédelmi és infrastrukturális következményekre. A várostervezés számára az egyik legfontosabb információ a népességszám alakulása. Jelen tanulmány a városban, ill. a városhoz szorosan kötődő agglomeráció településein élők számának, korösszetételének, iskolai végzettségének valamint a lakásállományt jellemző minőségi mutatók alakulásával foglalkozik az 1990-2024 közötti időszakban.
