Plenty of studies showed the probiotics can promote health. The number of probiotic bacteria in probiotic dairy products has become an important criterion for evaluating the produces' quality. Therefore,it is necessary to establish a simple and rapid method for quantitative determination of the probiotics in dairy products. In this paper,the research status and development trend of quantitative determination method of probiotics in dairy products are summarized.
