As feições erosivas constituem marcas na paisagem que revelam, ou até denunciam, setores onde o uso da terra compromete a qualidade dos solos. A fim de identificar estes terrenos e analisar os tipos de relações que se estabelecem no local, foi elaborado o Mapa de Densidade de Feições Erosivas Lineares (2010/2011) de um setor do município de Botucatu (Brasil) marcado pelo relevo de cuestas. O cruzamento do Mapa de Densidade de Feições Erosivas Lineares (2010/2011) com o Mapa de Uso da Terra (2010/2011) revelou que as classes mais altas de densidade de feições erosivas localizam-se sobre pastagens, mas que, frequentemente são ativadas pelo despejo das águas pluviais de áreas urbanas ou rodovias do entorno. Dessa forma, o mapa de densidade de feições erosivas lineares demonstrou ser um instrumento eficiente na análise da paisagem, podendo contribuir também como desenvolvimento de um planejamento ambiental mais adequado à conservação dos solos.
