A Neoplasia Maligna de Esôfago (NME) origina-se de mutações nas células que revestem o órgão esofágico. Esta patologia é responsável pela sexta maior quantidade de mortes por câncer (CA) devido sua agressividade e prognóstico de baixa sobrevida.
