We report divergent reactions of 1,2,3-triazines and 1,2,3-triazine 1-oxides with diazomethyl compounds, the former yielding diazovinylketoesters, and the latter giving rise to pyrazole derivatives through extrusion of ethyl cyanocarboxylate and N 2 O.
