Distintas perceções dos formandos sobre a educação pré-escolar: uma análise de clustering Article Swipe

A formação de educadores e professores tem observado, nos últimos anos, mudanças significativas que conduziram à reestruturação dos modelos de formação. Ao nível de licenciatura em educação básica os formandos contactam com uma formação geral que os prepara para a educação pré-escolar bem como para o 1.º e 2.º Ciclo do Ensino Básico. Os mestrados profissionalizantes preparam os alunos para as especificidades profissionais de cada nível educativo. Tendo em conta as especificidades de cada nível de educação e ensino, este estudo procura analisar as perceções que os formandos do 3.º ano do curso de Educação Básica e os formandos do curso de Mestrado em Educação Pré-escolar e 1.º CEB têm sobre a educação de infância e a forma como o modelo de formação os prepara para essa especificidade. A metodologia seguida neste estudo baseou-se numa abordagem quantitativa por análise de clustering com recolha de dados por questionário disponibilizado online. Os resultados obtidos mostram que os alunos de educação básica sentem que são preparados para todos os níveis educativos. Contudo os alunos de mestrado realçam as fragilidades do modelo de formação, assumindo que há alguns aspetos particulares da educação de infância que não são considerados no decurso dessa formação, havendo apenas o contacto com a especificidade em algumas unidades curriculares do mestrado.
