La educación debe fomentar el razonamiento humanístico. Se realizó un estudio de investigación documental del componente socio humanístico en 199 currículos vigentes de Salud en Colombia, de ocho programas profesionales en diversas universidades. Se evalúo en bases de datos el número de cursos, porcentaje de créditos y denominaciones. El componente socio humanístico está organizado en: el 38 % cursos de humanidades; el 27 % asignaturas de Ciencias sociales; el 3,8 % cursos orientados a las Artes y categorías emergentes; el 31,2 % asignaturas en Comunicación, Lingüística, expresión oral y escrita. Los resultados sugieren que los programas de salud integran la formación socio humanística en una proporción reducida y aún se requiere trabajar en un currículo integrador entre lo disciplinar y lo socio humanístico.
