O ser humano está exposto a vibrações advindas de diversas fontes de excitação. Essas vibrações são conside- radas distúrbios e podem interferir na integridade física e na capacidade de exercer certas funções de trabalho. Sabe-se que esses distúrbios causam efeitos indesejáveis na saúde humana, portanto, avaliações e possíveis controles de vibração são necessários. Além disso, o desconforto causado pelas vibrações também está diretamente ligado à fadiga humana. Existem diversas análises de vibração que podem ser feitas e dentre elas está a análise de vibração de corpo inteiro. Sabe-se que o corpo humano tem diferentes frequências naturais e uma vez que a frequência da fonte excitadora coincide com essas frequências naturais do corpo, há uma amplificação do movimento. Com base nos riscos que o corpo humano está exposto a busca por melhorias em conforto e segurança para os operadores é constante na indústria automobilística, que inclui também os veículos agrícolas. Nesse estudo, as análises de vibração são obtidas através de um dispositivo portátil utilizado para análises de vibração de corpo inteiro. Os tratores foram submetidos às vibrações advindas de uma pista não pavimentada com severas irregularidades e diferentes marchas. As medições foram efetuadas utilizando um acelerômetro tri dimensional diretamente no assento do operador. Ferramentas de análises estatísticas foram adotadas a fim de obter resultados coerentes de acordo com as normas. Tendo em vista os riscos da vibração na saúde ocupacional, o objetivo principal desse trabalho foi analisar a vibração de corpo inteiro de dois tratores agrícolas e verificar, junto às normas da Comunidade Europeia se os níveis são aceitáveis. Com base nos valores de aceleração identificadas nessas análises, possíveis melhorias podem ser adotadas a fim de reduzir a exposição à vibração.
