Ghana's macroeconomic misalignment in the 19708 and 1980s necessitated structural adjustment. Using a mulit-sectoral partial equilibrium model, we identify price incentives in the major export sectors, real exchange rate realignment, increased foreign capital inflows, higher interest rates, lower inflation and domestic savings as major areas for government policy consideration.
