Background and Objective: Hematological parameters have been recognized as valuable tools for monitoring fish health.Therefore, a field study was conducted to investigate the hematological parameters of Kashmir loach, Triplophysa marmorata (Heckel 1838) collected from Ningli, Sind and Telbal streams.Methodology: Blood parameters such as hemoglobin, erythrocyte count, total leukocyte count, hematocrit, Mean Corpuscular Volume (MCV), Mean Corpuscular Hemoglobin (MCH) and Mean Corpuscular Hemoglobin Concentration (MCHC) of fish were determined.Results: Statistical analysis revealed notice able differences in RBC and WBC count and PCV values among different streams.A significant decrease was marked in RBC count and PCV values (p<0.001),whereas, an increase in leukocyte count was observed in fish from Ningli and Telbal stream.Conclusion: These differences can be attributed to the physiological acclimatization of the fish to their living conditions which influences the energy metabolism and consequently the health of the fish.
