High-porosity Pt–CeO<sub>2</sub> nanosponges as oxidation catalyst

A highly porous Pt–CeO 2 nanosponge catalyst is obtained by thermal transformation from a cerium oxalate precursor, showing good thermal stability and promising activity for catalytic oxidation of CO, VOCs, NH 3 with high selectivity for N 2 .
