The article is devoted to the problem of migrants' perception of the legal provision of their stay in Russia and is a continuation of the material "Socialization of migrant workers: problems of set-tlement»", published in the previous issue of the journal. It is shown that only a third of migrants, representatives of three groups: undecided, dissatisfied and pessimists, make real claims to the issues of legal support for their stay in Russia. They experience an increased level of discomfort and discontent, first of all, in connection with the excessive tightening of migration controls; the lack of courses for migrants on adapting to life in Russia; refusal to hire due to the complexity of the registration procedures for foreign workers; difficulties in solving problems with children; the discrepancy between the terms of the preliminary employment contract and the terms of the final, issued upon arrival in Russia. The content of the claims of the representatives of the selected groups varies. Migrants who are dissatisfied with the legal provision of their stay in Russia are distinguished by the clarity of the direction of their dissatisfaction. They are uncomfortable with the lack of migration control, as well as the refusal to hire due to the laborious procedures for reg-istration of foreign workers. Pessimists are much more likely to be dissatisfied with the lack of courses for migrants on adapting to life in Russia. Those who are undecided in their assessments note some agreement throughout the list of legal problems. At the same time, pessimists have the most modest requests for the size of their monthly earnings, while the dissatisfied demonstrate higher financial requests. Representatives of both groups note that, on the whole, they have man-aged to raise their standard of living in Russia.
