Improvement of Cultivar Composition in Data-driven Large-scale Rice Cultivation with Field-specific Datasets Article Swipe

茨城県南部で大規模稲作を展開する農業生産法人 (以下,経営体と略記) において,2019年から2022年までの栽培管理情報を網羅的に収集し,収量の向上を目的とした作付品種構成の最適化について検討した.この経営体では,4年間で急速に圃場の集積を進め,業務委託部分を除いた作付面積は,2019年の41.8 haから,2022年には95.9 haまで拡大し,2019年と比較して移植作業日数は17日,収穫作業日数は16日,それぞれ多くなった.4年間継続して作付した基幹品種である「ヒメノモチ」,「あきたこまち」および「コシヒカリ」の他に,2019年に作付した2品種と,2020年以降に導入した7品種について,収量性や作業体系への適合性を検証した.収集した栽培管理情報と収量の解析に基づき,2019年は低収の1品種,2020年は2品種の作付を取りやめた.晩生で最後に収穫できる「あさひの夢」は作付を継続した.2021年以降に導入した品種は,適切な窒素施肥や病害虫防除などの栽培管理方法を設定したことから,いずれも収量は高かったが,「コシヒカリ」と収穫作業が競合した2品種と,稈が太くコンバインへの負荷が大きい1品種の作付を取りやめた.2021年に導入し,収穫作業が基幹品種と競合しなかった早生の「ちほみのり」と中生の「にじのきらめき」は,2022年に作付面積が拡大した.「あさひの夢」は,窒素追肥を取りやめる施肥法の改善により2022年に屑米重量比率が低下した.これらの見直しにより,2022年には基幹品種以外の作付面積が49.2 haと過半を占め,経営体全体の全刈り収量は,2019年の455 g m–2から2022年には556 g m–2に向上した.
