The MI-Lab was created as it is impractical to carry out exercises for medical informatics students within the productive application systems of a hospital. The information system architecture of the MI-Lab has been modeled in 3LGM2 and contains detailed information on communication parameters. An exercise for medical informatics students has been designed utilizing this model to solve tasks involving typical REST calls from health application systems. The exercise enables students to apply and deepen their knowledge of communications standards in healthcare.
