Nghiên cứu nhằm xác định sự biến đổi của một số yếu tố chất lượng nước và sự hiện diện của một số mầm bệnh trên nghêu Meretrix lyrata ở Bến Tre từ tháng 2 đến tháng 12 năm 2016. Kết quả quan sát những dấu hiệu bất thường của nghêu trong mùa dịch bệnh cho thấy chúng thường có vỏ bị tổn thương, thịt không đầy vỏ (nghêu gầy), ngậm cát trong xoang cơ thể, màng áo xuất hiện những đốm/mảng trắng và tuyến tiêu hóa chuyển màu vàng. Chất lượng nước tại bãi nuôi: pH, NO2, NH3, H2S không có khác biệt giữa mùa mưa và mùa khô nhưng sự khác biệt có ý nghĩa thống kê được xác định ở yếu tố nhiệt độ và độ mặn (P
