This research aims to determine (1) the level of achievement motivation, (2) the implementation of cognitive restructuring techniques, (3) cognitive restructuring techniques increase achievement motivation. This research uses a quantitative approach with a Quasi experimental design model. The experimental design used was a nonequivalent control group design. The research population was class VII, consisting of 37 students and the research sample was 20 students, divided into an experimental group and a control group, each with 10 students. Sampling was drawn using proportional random sampling technique. Data collection uses an achievement motivation scale and observation. Data analysis uses descriptive statistics and parametric analysis, namely t-test. The research results showed: (1) Achievement motivation during the pretest in the experimental group, 6 people were in the low category and 4 people were in the very low category. In the posttest, achievement motivation increased, 5 people were in the very high category and 5 people were in the high category. Meanwhile, achievement motivation during the pretest and posttest in the control group was in the very low and low categories, meaning it did not change. (2) Cognitive restructuring techniques were implemented by means of rational treatment, thought analysis, introduction and CT training, moving from negative thoughts to coping thoughts. (CT), positive reinforcement and evaluation. (3) There are differences in achievement motivation in the control and experimental groups that were treated with cognitive restructuring techniques, where cognitive restructuring techniques were proven to increase achievement motivation significantly.
