O Acidente Vascular Cerebral (AVC) é uma condição neurológica causada por isquemia e infarto cerebral devido à obstrução de uma artéria cerebral. Existem dois tipos principais de AVC: o isquêmico, por obstrução do vaso, e o hemorrágico, por hemorragias cerebrais. Além disso, as doenças cardiovasculares (DCV), como o Infarto Agudo do Miocárdio (IAM), são uma das principais causas de morbidade e mortalidade global, resultando da morte de células cardíacas devido à obstrução do fluxo sanguíneo coronariano. Este estudo analisou internações hospitalares de jovens adultos no Brasil por AVC e IAM entre 2013 e 2023, utilizando dados do Sistema Único de Saúde (DATASUS) e do Sistema de Morbidade Hospitalar (SIH). A análise foi ecológica, descritiva e retrospectiva, considerando variáveis como ano, região, faixa etária, cor/raça, sexo, tempo de internação e óbitos. Os dados foram coletados e analisados em julho de 2024, com base em artigos científicos recentes. Entre 2013 e 2023, o Brasil registrou 115.795 internações por IAM e AVC em jovens adultos. O ano de 2023 teve o maior número de casos (11,31%), enquanto 2013 teve o menor (7,5%). A região Sudeste concentrou a maioria dos casos (42,74%), com São Paulo liderando. A faixa etária mais afetada foi de 30 a 39 anos (75,67%), com predominância do sexo masculino (56,16%) e cor parda (38,96%). A maioria dos atendimentos foi de urgência (94,92%), com uma média de permanência hospitalar de 6,7 dias. Os óbitos foram mais frequentes entre indivíduos de 30 a 39 anos (76,77%).Nota-se um aumento preocupante nos casos de IAM e AVC entre jovens, destacando a necessidade urgente de estratégias de prevenção, diagnóstico precoce e tratamento adequado. Políticas públicas devem focar na promoção de estilos de vida saudáveis e no monitoramento precoce dos fatores de risco.
