O estudo busca explicar eventos que ocorrem na região Norte do Brasil, que apresenta alta vulnerabilidade a desastres ambientais em razão de sua ampla extensão territorial, diversidade geográfica e profundas desigualdades socioeconômicas. Nos últimos anos, eventos como enchentes, inundações graduais, estiagens e queimadas têm-se intensificado, ocasionando impactos significativos sobre a infraestrutura, a economia local e a qualidade de vida das populações afetadas. Este trabalho identifica os desastres que afetam o estado do Pará, analisando os fatores socioambientais, institucionais e urbanos que contribuem para sua ocorrência e sua recorrência. A metodologia fundamenta-se em dados secundários de órgãos oficiais, considerando indicadores de frequência, número de pessoas afetadas e estimativas de perdas econômicas. O objetivo é subsidiar políticas públicas de prevenção e mitigação, enfatizando a importância da gestão de riscos e do planejamento urbano integrado. Espera-se, com isso, contribuir para o fortalecimento da resiliência socioambiental e reduzir a vulnerabilidade das comunidades expostas no contexto amazônico.
