A person specification, also referred to as job specification, forms one of two parts of job analysis. The first part of job analysis involves the development of a formal job description to list and describe the position’s tasks and duties detailing the type of work to be performed, the responsibilities of the position, the working conditions and job hazards, as well as information about the equipment that would be used in order to carry out a job’s tasks.
