People differ in their perception of various situations, and personality factors are vital predictors of such perceptions. With a large sample (N = 658) of Polish juveniles referred by family courts to educational and probation centers, this study explored how latent profiles of various intensities of Stability and Aggressiveness differ in perceiving various educational situations. Our latent profile analysis resulted in three distinct groups that differed regarding their Stability and Aggressiveness: maladaptive (i.e., low Stability, high Aggressiveness), resilient (high Stability and low Aggressiveness), and flexible. Resilient individuals perceived situations as less deceptive, adverse, and negative than the maladaptive group. Resilient individuals also perceived situations as less intellectual and social than the maladaptive group. Overall, this study shows that the unique constellation of traits might have serious implications for understanding educational situations in groups of juveniles.
