Physical Layer Security for Integrated Sensing and Communication System with FDA-MIMO Article Swipe

Traditional integrated sensing and communication (ISAC) systems mainly rely on multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) methods, which are unable to achieve distance dimension security. In this paper, we propose frequency diverse array MIMO (FDA-MIMO) based ISAC system to alleviate this issue. To achieve the joint security in angle and distance dimensions, we propose the FDA-MIMO based directional modulation (DM) and artificial noise (AN) methods to design the transmit weight vector in the ISAC system. On the other hand, the system has the sensing capability that employs a two-dimensional Capone spectrum estimation method to estimate potential eavesdropper. Simulation results show that the proposed system outperforms the MIMO-based ISAC system in terms of communication security and target’s distance estimation.
