Zusammenfassung Einleitung Die prähospitale Versorgung verletzter Kinder birgt besondere Herausforderungen, insbesondere im Hinblick auf eine adäquate Schmerztherapie, Ruhigstellung, achsgerechte Lagerung und in Einzelfällen Reposition dislozierter Frakturen. Ziel dieser Umfragestudie war die Untersuchung zur Einschätzung der Notwendigkeit von prähospitalen Maßnahmen aus Sicht von Kindertraumatologen. Methodik In einer Umfrage unter den Mitgliedern der Sektion Kindertraumatologie der Deutschen Gesellschaft für Unfallchirurgie wurden Einschätzungen zu prähospitalen Maßnahmen erhoben. Die Umfrage beinhaltete zehn fallbasierte Fragen zu Ruhigstellung, Schmerztherapie und Reposition von Frakturen mit und ohne Analgosedierung sowie zwei Fragen zum Ziel der Analgesie. Die erhobenen Daten wurden deskriptiv analysiert. Ergebnisse Die Umfrageergebnisse von 53 Befragten zeigen, dass 84,9–100 % der Teilnehmenden eine Ruhigstellung der verletzten Körperregion als zwingend notwendig oder wünschenswert einstuften. Eine suffiziente Schmerztherapie wurde in 85,4 % der Fälle als essenziell angesehen, insbesondere bei offenen Frakturen (98,1 %). Repositionen ohne Analgosedierung wurden von 88,6–98,1 % abgelehnt, während mit Analgosedierung bis zu 77,5 % der Befragten diese Maßnahme bei offenen oder pulsdefizienten Frakturen für zwingend notwendig oder wünschenswert hielten. Schlussfolgerung Die Ergebnisse zeigen eine klare Präferenz für die Ruhigstellung und Schmerztherapie, während invasive Maßnahmen wie die Reposition nur unter ausreichender Analgosedierung befürwortet werden. Diese Ergebnisse zu den Anforderungen klinisch tätiger Kindertraumatologen an die präklinische Versorgung unterstreichen den Bedarf an standardisierten Algorithmen und interdisziplinärer Weiterbildung zur Optimierung der kindgerechten Versorgung von Traumata im rettungsdienstlichen Alltag.
