In response to issues such as information isolation and ineffective quality and safety traceability in all stages of crane design, manufacturing, and usage in China, the digital-driven intelligent control technology for the full lifecycle risks of cranes was investigated. Multi-granular digital twin models for the full lifecycle of cranes, including design, manufacturing, operation and maintenance, and emergency management, were established; digital status monitoring and safety operation and maintenance technologies for cranes were developed; intelligent early warning, control, and simulation methods for cranes were created; remote health assessment and precise risk classification and grading supervision for cranes were achieved. This can enhance the safety level during crane usage and the quality of maintenance, further improve the supervision efficiency of cranes, reduce the safety risks during the construction process of cranes, and elevate the emergency handling capabilities.
