Four new donor–acceptor based stilbene derivatives were synthesized via Heck coupling reaction. These materials are green light emitters with good fluorescence quantum yield. Furthermore, the emitters show well matched HOMO/LUMO value as bipolar molecule. In addition, they are highly thermally stable. Optimized structures and electronic distribution in ground state are also studied to understand photophysical properties using DFT calculation.
