Testing General Relativity Against Spiral Harmonics Theory Article Swipe
This document presents an exploratory, ephemeris-based diagnostic framework for comparing the descriptive adequacy of General Relativity (GR) and a complementary dynamical interpretation referred to here as Spiral Harmonics Theory (SHT) in the context of long-term orbital behavior. Rather than proposing a new gravitational law or replacing General Relativity, the work investigates whether geodesic-only descriptions are sufficient to characterize observed orbital evolution following perturbations, or whether additional nonlinear, self-correcting structure is evident in planetary and small-body trajectories. Using publicly available JPL HORIZONS ephemeris data, the study outlines two empirical test classes: Orbital Geodesic Comparison Test — examining whether perturbed trajectories exhibit monotonic drift consistent with geodesic motion, or instead display bounded recovery, coherence floors, and recurrent structure indicative of feedback-like dynamics. Relativistic Analogue Test — exploring whether time-dilation-like behavior can be modeled as a classical geometric analogue arising from curvature gradients and trajectory linearization within a constrained dynamical framework. The methodology emphasizes diagnostic signatures (e.g. attractor-like banding, non-monotonic perturbation response, phase re-alignment) rather than proprietary equations, enabling independent replication without disclosure of internal formulation details. This work is intended as: a conceptual and methodological contribution, a foundation for further empirical exploration, and a structured test framework for future datasets and higher-resolution studies. No claims of falsification or validation are made. General Relativity is treated as a highly successful geometrical theory whose domain of descriptive completeness is examined, not challenged. Spiral Harmonics Theory is presented as an interpretive lens for detecting structure in orbital evolution that may warrant further investigation. This upload represents an intermediate research stage, released to support transparency, citation, and future extension.
