Clinical Trial Registration Number: IRCT2017070330407N2; Registration Date: 2017-07-20 Summary: The objective of this study is to evaluate the effect of including a Summary of Findings table and its reference in relevant Wikipedia pages of systematic reviews on the number of visits from systematic reviews and number of downloads. We will include the published reviews from Cochrane Schizophrenia Group if they have a Summary of Findings table and specific Wikipedia page and will exclude the reviews without a Wikipedia page or without a Summary of Findings table. We will choose 100 out of 307 existing reviews of Cochrane Schizophrenia Group and will randomly assign them to intervention and control groups. Reviews in the intervention group will have a referenced table/s inserted into their relevant Wikipedia page. This will consist of a summary of the intervention’s efficacy using data from, but entirely re-writing, the Cochrane Summary of Findings table. The inserted tables will be in plain language with reference to both the review’s summary page and the full review. All reviews in the intervention group will have the referenced tables inserted into the relevant Wikipedia page on the same day. This provides a convenient consistent ‘start time’ for all reviews in the trial. The control group will not have a table or reference placed into the relevant Wikipedia page. The outcomes will be 1. The number of visits to the free summary page and 2. The number of the full-text downloads of the systematic review. The outcomes will be measured at 12 months.
