This paper explores the multifaceted and dynamic processes through which regional spatial orders are assembled and subsequently disassembled, viewed through a critical geopolitical lens. Regionality is understood not as a static geographical given, but as a contingent and contested socio-spatial construct shaped by power relations, discursive practices, and material forces. Drawing upon theories of critical geopolitics, new regionalism, and spatial theory, we argue that regions are constantly made and unmade through the interplay of state and non-state actors, economic integration, security imperatives, and the circulation of ideas and identities. The paper interrogates how political actors strategically deploy geographical narratives, institutional frameworks, and material infrastructures to define, consolidate, or fragment regional formations. By focusing on both the constructive and deconstructive dynamics, this analysis aims to provide a more nuanced understanding of the fluid nature of spatial orders and their profound implications for international relations, territoriality, and global governance.
