近年,多発する河川氾濫への治水対策として,我が国の多くの河川で河床掘削が計画・実施されている.河床掘削は河川生物の生息環境を大きく改変するため,河川生態系を構成する主要な生物の成長や生息分布へ与える影響を予測する必要がある.本研究ではそのような予測が可能な河川生態系モデルを開発し,高津川における河床掘削が河川生態系に及ぼす影響を検討した.新たに開発した河川生態系モデルは流れ,水温,生物量に関して十分な再現性が得られた.また,河床掘削の影響で水深,流速,水温分布が変化し,それに応答して河川生物の生物量及び生息分布が変化することが予測された.しかし,計算区間全体の生物量でみると,付着性藻類は計算期間内の最大で12.7%,底生動物は最大で26.3%増加し,魚類は2%程度の変化率に留まることが予測された.
