ABSTRACT Background and Aim Sudan Virus Disease (SVD) is a deadly hemorrhagic fever caused by the Sudan virus, first discovered in Sudan in 1976. This disease has been linked to several outbreaks in sub‐Saharan Africa, particularly in Uganda.
