Technical devices have become an indispensable part of our everyday life and they have also been used in rehabilitation for decades with increasing potential through technological advancement. In rehabilitation, however, many disabilities like stroke or dementia are more likely with increasing age, and especially the older generation is often described as being sceptic and afraid of technology. When developing and implementing new technology, this needs to be considered and discriminated against disease related difficulties when testing applications. A questionnaire available to capture a person’s individual general enthusiasm for and positive attitude towards technical devices, their interest in technology and to what extent technological devices are accepted is the TA-EG, the technical affinity questionnaire for electronic devices. This questionnaire was translated into Italian and evaluated in an Italian cohort, which ultimately led to the Italian TA-EG version here described.
