The trajectory ensemble (Chapter 4) Article Swipe
This chapter introduces the trajectory ensemble as the most fundamental description of nature, applicable to any system, whether in equilibrium or not. The trajectory ensembles considered in the chapter are collections of trajectories, e.g., from molecular dynamics, sharing common boundary conditions and possibly initial conditions. Relaxation and steady states are reconsidered from the trajectory ensemble point of view. The connection between a single long trajectory and the ensemble is explored. The rate constant is revisited again.
