The skin reflects both an individual’s internal health and external appearance, as skin disorders significantly im-pact overall well-being, mental health, and social interactions. According to the Global Burden of Disease pro-ject, skin conditions are among the leading causes of non-fatal health burdens worldwide, with superficial fungal infections being particularly common. In Ayurveda, skin diseases are broadly classified under Kushtha, and Da-dru, a condition caused by imbalances in the Pitta and Kapha doshas as well as disruptions in the Rasavaha and Raktavaha strotas, bears similarities to Tinea or fungal infections in modern medicine. The standard allopathic treatment commonly involves topical and systemic antifungal medications, sometimes combined with cortico-steroids. However, the high rates of treatment failure and recurrence highlight the need for more effective alter-natives. Chakramardabeejadi Pralepa, a well-known Ayurvedic formulation, offers a potential solution. This herbal paste, consisting of Chakramarda, Sudarshana, and Jeeraka, is recognised for its anti-dermatological and anti-parasitic properties, presenting a promising natural treatment option for Dadru.
