Una propuesta para la enseñanza y el aprendizaje en prácticas clínicas de estudiantes de fisioterapia Article Swipe

Introducción: El grado de fisioterapia se obtiene al cursar una preparación universitaria de 4 a 5 años con contenido teórico y práctico en su diseño curricular. En el segundo año de formación se realiza un periodo llamado “práctica clínica” donde, a través de la interacción con el paciente, el estudiante aprende y demuestra distintas habilidades clínicas; sin embargo, la enseñanza durante esta etapa puede descuidar competencias adicionales a la formación del alumno. Objetivo: Diseñar una propuesta didáctica de enseñanza y aprendizaje para educadores clínicos mediante el diagnóstico de habilidades clínicas y humanas de formación identificadas en estudiantes de fisioterapia. Método: Se realizó un estudio exploratorio y un muestreo no probabilístico por conveniencia a 2 grupos; el primer grupo formado por 32 estudiantes de la licenciatura en fisioterapia, superiores al sexto semestre, que realizaron prácticas clínicas en el área de terapia física del Hospital Regional ISSSTE “Elvia Carrillo Puerto”, durante el periodo comprendido de febrero 2019 a enero 2020; y el segundo grupo formado por 3 terapeutas adscritos de la institución, encargados de la formación clínica de los alumnos. Resultados: De los 3 terapeutas adscritos al hospital, 1 refirió como “muy bueno” al proceso de enseñanza y aprendizaje durante las prácticas clínicas en fisioterapia; sin embargo, únicamente el 33.3% de los encuestados los aplica regularmente para la enseñanza y conclusión de habilidades en los estudiantes. El 43.8% de los alumnos encuestados categorizaron su enseñanza clínica como “bueno” durante su periodo de prácticas, siendo las habilidades clínicas las más frecuentemente practicadas y las habilidades intrapersonales las menos abordada para su aprendizaje. Conclusiones: La propuesta de formación facilita la conclusión de mejores estándares de competencia en la formación de estudiantes en fisioterapia lo que garantiza a egresados capaces de afrontar las demandas de los pacientes, proporcionando un trato profesional y humano a sus futuros usuarios.
