We demonstrate a linearly polarized Er3+: ZBLAN fiber laser in the dual wavelength pumping scheme for laser emission in the 3.4-3.7 µm spectral band. The laser is based on a polarization-maintaining heavily erbium-doped ZBLAN fiber dually pumped at 976 nm and 1975 nm. Continuously tunable lasing is obtained from 3380 nm to 3717 nm by using a diffraction grating in combination with a high reflectivity output coupler. Using a low reflectivity output coupler, watt-level output powers are achieved for the first time from a PM-fiber laser in the 3.4-3.6 µm wavelength range. The polarization extinction ratio (PER) of the output beam is greater than 21 dB over the whole tuning range
