Identification and field validation of QTLs for soybean red crown rot resistance from wild soybean accessions Open
Soybean red crown rot (RCR), a soil-borne disease caused by the fungus Calonectria ilicicola, can lead to annual yield losses of up to 30%. This study identified quantitative trait loci (QTLs) associated with RCR resistance in three wild s…

Response of Root System to Sequential Salinity Conditions in Salinity-Tolerant/Sensitive Soybean Varieties Open
The root is one of the vital organs of soybean for combating salt stress. Previous studies have indicated that the salt-tolerant gene Ncl reduces the chloride and sodium ion content in stems and leaves, and it can significantly increase yi…

C-terminally encoded peptide-like genes are associated with the development of primary root at qRL16.1 in soybean Open
Root architecture traits are belowground traits that harness moisture and nutrients from the soil and are equally important to above-ground traits in crop improvement. In soybean, the root length locus qRL16.1 was previously mapped on chro…

Na and K Distribution and Its Association with Salinity Tolerance in Salt-tolerant Soybean Genotypes Open
