まず自然安定河道に関する国内外の信頼性の高い資料に基づき,筆者が提案する安定河道の発生条件(K値,動的平衡状態にある無次元掃流力τ*sおよび川幅水深比 B/h)の明確化を図った.次に河川整備計画期間程度の将来河道を対象として,安定河道の条件を用いた安定断面の設定と平面2次元河床変動解析に基づく"流下能力と安定性を兼備した複断面水路横断形の設定法"を提示した.最後に同設定法を緑川河道に適用し,整備計画河道横断形の検討事例を示した.
