Abstract Wireless magnetic actuation offers precise control over microscopic devices, yet full planar manipulation of rigid, tethered magnetic particles remains challenging. We propose preconditioners for the Helmholtz scattering problems by a planar, disk-shaped screen in ℝ 3 .
