Validation and optimization of classification criteria for childhood-onset systemic lupus erythematosus in a multi-center Chinese cohort. Open
Both criteria performed well in Chinese cSLE patients. Optimizing the 2019 EULAR/ACR criteria by removing alopecia and arthritis criteria and modifying the urinary protein criterion enhanced specificity without compromising sensitivity.

[Correlation of anti-C1q antibodies with active systemic lupus erythematosus and lupus nephritis in children]. Open
Anti-C1q antibodies can serve as non-invasive biomarkers for evaluating the activity of SLE or predicting the activity of LN in children.

[Clinical characteristics of children with anti-neutrophil cytoplasmic antibody-associated vasculitis]. Open
AAV is more common in school-age female children, with MPA being the most common clinical subtype. The onset of AAV in children is mainly characterized by renal involvement, followed by respiratory system involvement. The renal pathology o…

Rituximab as a Maintenance Therapy in Pediatric Patients with Frequent-Relapsing or Steroid Dependent Nephrotic Syndrome: Efficacy, Safety, and Steroid Reduction Open
Background: Nephrotic syndrome is the most common glomerular disease in pediatrics. Rituximab has been shown to induce remission in nephrotic syndrome, yet the necessity and safety of its use in maintenance therapy remain uncertain. In thi…

Evaluation of belimumab in treatment of Chinese childhood-onset systemic lupus erythematosus: a prospective analysis from a multicentre study Open
Objective The aim of this study is to identify whether low lupus disease activity status (LLDAS) and clinical remission (CR) of belimumab plus standard of care (SoC) therapy are achievable goals in childhood-onset SLE (cSLE). Methods This …

Case Report: A case of recurrent thrombosis in pediatric antiphospholipid syndrome associated with pediatric onset systemic lupus Open
Systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE) is an autoimmune disease with multi-system involvement as the main manifestation, and has complex and diverse clinical features. Studies on large samples have revealed that SLE patients have a significant…

A retrospective study on the characteristics of renal pathological grades in HSPN children with mild to moderate proteinuria Open
Objective To investigate the characteristics of renal pathological grades in Henoch–Schönlein purpura nephritis (HSPN) children with mild to moderate proteinuria and the correlation between pathological grade and severity of proteinuria am…

Astragaloside IV Inhibits Galactose-Deficient IgA1 Secretion via miR-98-5p in Pediatric IgA Nephropathy Open
Purpose: The factor associated with IgA nephropathy (IgAN) is an abnormality of IgA known as galactose-deficient IgA1 (Gd-IgA1). The purpose of this study was to determine the molecular role played by miRNAs in the formation of Gd-IgA1 in …

CTLA4‐Ig Abatacept Ameliorates Proteinuria by Regulating Circulating Treg/IL‐17 in Adriamycin‐Induced Nephropathy Rats Open
Objective . This study is aimed at investigating the efficacy of CTLA4‐Ig abatacept in normalizing proteinuria and its possible mechanism in adriamycin‐induced nephropathy (AIN) rats. Methods . A total of 32 healthy male Sprague‐Dawley rat…

Novel deletion mutation in a Chinese family with X-linked alport syndrome. Open
Our result demonstrates that the mutation is pathogenic and novel and has meaningful implications for the diagnosis and genetic counselling of cases with AS. The results in the study broaden the genotypic spectrum of known mutations for AS.

Lupus erythematosus panniculitis in a 10-year-old female child with severe systemic lupus erythematosus Open
This report highlights an unusual manifestation of LEP associated with SLE in a child. It also suggests that pediatricians should be aware of occult onset of SLE, such as unclear marasmus and fatigue found in this case. Repeat tests of ant…

HOXA13 exerts a beneficial effect in albumin-induced epithelial-mesenchymal transition via the glucocorticoid receptor signaling pathway in human renal tubular epithelial cells Open
Previous studies have suggested that albumin-induced renal tubular epithelial cell injury contributes to renal interstitial fibrosis. Epithelial-mesenchymal transition (EMT) is known to be a key mechanism in the pathogenesis and progressio…
