症例は74歳，男性で既往歴に心房細動がある．突然の腹痛を認め，当院救急外来を受診した．腹部CT検査で小腸の浮腫と腸管壁ガス像と，肝両葉に門脈内ガス像も認めた．緊急手術を行ったが腸管壊死を疑わせる所見はなく，閉腹し手術終了とした．第43病日に腸閉塞を発症し，イレウス管を挿入した．イレウス管造影で小腸狭窄を認めたため，初回の手術の62日後に小腸切除を施行した．病理組織所見および臨床経過から，狭窄型虚血性小腸炎と診断した．
