大線量放射線をモニターする放射線検出器の半導体プリアンプを開発している。半導体素子の大半は放射線に弱く,特に集積回路化された素子は100 Gy程度の照射しか堪えられないとされてきた。本研究では,放射線に強い接合型電界効果トランジスタ(J-FET)を用い,さらに放射線照射の影響を軽減するために回路的な工夫を加えた。この結果,100 kGy以上のγ線照射でも使用可能な半導体プリアンプとなった。
