Study of general and fundamental questions

Philosophy ('love of wisdom' in Ancient Greek) is a systematic study of general and fundamental questions concerning topics like existence, reason, knowledge, value, mind, and language. It is a rational and critical inquiry that reflects on its methods and assumptions.

Historically, many of the individual sciences, such as physics and psychology, formed part of philosophy. However, they are considered separate academic disciplines in the modern sense of the term. Influential traditions in the history of philosophy include Western, Arabic–Persian, Indian, and Chinese philosophy. Western philosophy originated in Ancient Greece and covers a wide area of philosophical subfields.

A Unified Deep-Domain Adaptation Framework: Advancing Feature Separability and Local Alignment
2025
In transfer learning, domain adaptation is one of the key research areas. For domain adaptation, domain shift is a known problem when the data distribution of the source domain, from which the training data is fetched, and the target domain, from which the test data is fetched, vary significantly. Aligning the source and target domains is a solution, but due to alignment, the intrinsic properties of the data may be altered. To address this issue of domain shift, we introduce a novel method, called “A Unified Deep-…
