Description
Nye Borgerlige ( NB for short and often translated as the New Right ) is a national-conservative and right-wing populist political party in Denmark. Formed by Pernille Vermund and Peter Seier Christensen in 2015, the party first entered the Danish Parliament, the Folketing, in the 2019 general election with four seats (out of 179) and again in the 2022 general election with six seats. After three later defections, the party's number of seats in the Folketing is three, and it is in opposition.
Vermund has been the party's leader (chairman) throughout its existence except for some months in 2023.
The youth wing of the party is Nye Borgerliges Ungdom (NBU).
